Jordan has been battling back following surgery on injured ankle ligaments last season.

He told Barrhead Sport: “I went back to training about two weeks and I managed to play second-half in our friendly against Clyde.

“However I have had a bit of a set-back and it looks as though it will be at least another month before I can get back to the right level.

“It is just a matter of completing more rehab with the physio to make sure my ankle is strong enough to handle the amount of pressure put on it when I get back to playing regularly.

“To be fair I was told at the time of the surgery that it could take between six and nine months before I was completely ready.

“That is us now at eight months so Christmas time is probably the target.” Despite his injury Jordan has remained a key player in the Arthurlie side over the course of the last six months. Sitting in the dug-out throughout each game — Jordan’s influence has been key at times.

Despite a change of manager and the upheaval that the period sometimes bring, the centre back insists all is well at Dunterlie.

He added: “There is real buzz about the place at the moment.

“The boys are playing very well and the results are there for everybody to see — it is great.

“Obviously the squad is still basically the same but they have done well in recent weeks and long may it continue. I think everybody has bought into what it is Craig is trying to do and so far it is working.” Jordan was a spectator at Saturday’s anniversary match between the current side and the 1998 Scottish Cup winner — and admitted he loved the occasion.

He said: “It was good to see all the legends back at the ground.”
