ARTHURLIE boss Gavin Duncan has explained the reason for striker Richie Barr’s disappearance from the team sheet on Saturday.
The veteran striker’s omission from the squad sparked surprise amongst quarters of the Dunterlie support but boss Gavin Duncan explained the reasoning behind it.
He told Barrhead Sport: “Richie will be taking some time out from playing for the next wee while.
“He has some personal issues which he needs to take care of and during that time he won’t be playing any football.
“Despite this, Richie will still officially remain an Arthurlie player and we will welcome him back once he feels he is ready to return to playing.”
