ARTHURLIE midfielder Kyle Rafferty has been ruled out for the majority of the season.
The 19-year-old suffered a broken leg and torn ankle ligaments during last Wednesday’s Sectional League Cup defeat to Blantyre Victoria.
It is devastating news for the youngster who permanently signed on at Dunterlie following a loan spell from Stranraer last season.
Boss Gavin Duncan told Barrhead Sport: “It was a really nasty injury and it is looking like he could be out for a while.
“We have gone up and visited him in hospital and told him to keep his head up.
“As a club we will look after him and he needs to remember he is only young and has plenty of time to come back stronger.”
