NEILSTON have been boosted with the addition of Cameron Sinclair to the goalkeeping ranks.

The 19-year-old joins following a spell with amateur side Glasgow Harp last season but was previously on the books of SPFL League Two side Queen’s Park.

Sinclair was handed his competitive Farmer’s Boys debut during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Pollok and boss Andy Whiteford revealed to Barrhead Sport he is delighted with his new signing.

He said: “Cammy has come in and he has been impressive in the time I have seen him.

“Our regular keeper James Digney wasn’t available on Saturday but Cammy came in and performed very well.

“The hope is he will provide some competition for places and that isn’t a bad thing.” With Sinclair becoming Neilston’s second signing of the summer, Whiteford insisted that he would have no qualms about adding more players to the squad — but stressed they would have to improve what was already at the Brig.

He added: “We could probably bring in one or two players but I am not going to sign people for the sake of it.

“There are another couple of players I am hoping to speak to but the squad is coming together nicely and we are in good shape.”
