NEILSTON are set to continue their own pre season campaign with Wednesday night’s (tonight) fixture with Benburb.
The Bens are currently groundsharing at the Brig O’Lea until work on their new home has been completed and will provide stiff opposition for the hosts.
Both sides have enjoyed a good start to their pre season with the Farmer’s Boys coming away 8-2 victors over Linwood Amateurs at Park Mains High School on Saturday — with goals coming from new signing Thomas McGaughey, Derek Kennedy, two trialists and four from Bryan Smith.
Meanwhile, the Bens wrapped up the Johnstone Burgh Tournament with a 2-1 win over the Burgh at Keanie Park on Sunday despite a late fight back from their opponents. Kick off 7.15pm.
‘Ton will then travel through to Camelon on Saturday to face John Sludden’s East Region side. Kick off 2.30pm.
