LATEST Arthurlie signing Lee Bosley admitted that he is ‘absolutely delighted’ to sign on at Dunterlie Park.

The 21-year-old joins the likes of Pedram Ardalany and Graeme Ramage in joining Gavin Duncan’s men in recent weeks after his transfer from feeder club Arthurlie under-21s was completed midweek.

And, following his debut in Saturday’s 4- 1 victory over Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, Bosley told Barrhead Sport: “It’s amazing to sign for such a big club like Arthurlie.

“I am absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to play alongside a great bunch of players.

“I was playing for Arthulie’s feeder side and Gavin had come along to watch us play. He must have seen something in me and invited me along to training and it all kind of took off from there.” The right back deputised due to a number of injuries to the Lie defence on Saturday but he insists he has no issues being dropped in at the deep end, with Lie fighting a relegation battle, adding: “It’s going to be a great experience and I just hope I can play my part.

“Arthurlie are a very big junior side and hopefully we can get out of trouble.

“It was brilliant to play in front of the fans and to get the win was even better.” Bosley’s performance garnered praise from fans and coaches alike and Lie assistant Danny Drew confirmed that the management team had no qualms about throwing Bosley straight into the side — and he was delighted the youngster repaid their faith in him.

Drew said: “Lee has been in training with us for a while now and played in a friendly for us last week. He has shown us enough in that time for myself and Gavin (Duncan) to believe he can perform and do us a good turn.

“We were delighted to bring him in and we thought so highly of him that we didn’t even hesitate about putting him straight into the first team for the Rob Roy tie.” A solid debut from Bosley has now put him at the forefront of Gavin Duncan’s plans and Drew admits that the full back has done himself no harm with his performance against Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.

He added: “Lee is someone that we had been keeping tabs on for a good while now and his display on Saturday showed that he is good enough to perform at this level.

“That said, no one is guaranteed a starting spot within the team but if Lee continues to play the way he did on Saturday then he will have no issue keeping the shirt for the right back slot.”
