Arthurlie have a local derby this week as Pollok come to Dunterlie for a crucial match in the Super League Premier Division.
These sides are used to competing in big matches when trophies are at stake but this time the prize is potentially even bigger because of the consequences a defeat could eventually have.
The sides are currently sitting in 10th and 11th places in the league with Pollok just above the ‘Lie by a single point although Arthurlie do have a game in hand.
A draw is no use to any side at this point as both clubs are desperate to get away from the drop zone. Arthurlie were sitting idle last week as their match against Rob Roy was a victim of the weather.
Pollok raced into an early two goal lead at home to Clydebank last week only to see that lead disappear and eventually lose 4-3 to Clydebank.
These games are always close affairs and this one will be no different and leading High Street Bookmaker have got the Barrhead side priced up as favourites for this match at 6/5.
Pollok are rated as a 13/8 chance to head home with three points and a four point cushion in the league.
If you reckon that the game is going to end all square then that can be backed at 5/2.
Neilston had a fantastic win in the West of Scotland Cup last weekend as they defeated First Division Yoker 6-1. This is a victory that will make the rest of the league sit and take Neilston seriously as title challengers. Neilston are back on league duty this week and take on Cambuslang Rangers in a match they will be expected to win. Neilston currently sit seven points off of top place but with two games in hand every point over the next few weeks will be crucial.
