SANDY MacLean said a Scottish Junior Cup fourth round place was the perfect reward for his hard working Arthurlie side.
Steven McKeown opened the scoring against Oakley United and after the break Paul Stewart bagged his 20th goal in all competitions to ease the Lie into the next round.
The Dunterlie boss told Barrhead Sport: "I am absolutely delighted as it was a very good game and I am happy for the players.
"It was an excellent performance and the guys were really up for it. You could see it in them as they were enjoying training and working hard on Monday and Wednesday, and it was a very good win against a particularly good Oakley side.
"It was a decent game considering the heavy pitch, the rain and the weather conditions and we played really well.
"I was speaking to a few people during the week who thought that Oakley might spring a surprise, and maybe fancied them to earn a replay or a grab a shock victory.
"But it was a battling victory and we got the goals.
"We have now won five out of the last six matches and we need to keep the run of form going in the league.
"This Saturday coming we play Clydebank, who we beat 4-2 earlier in the season at Holm Park, and the lads are looking forward to it.
"But for the next round of the cup we look forward to the challenge of what the draw can bring us."
Weather permitting, Arthurlie host the Bankies at Dunterlie park on Saturday, kick-off is 1.45pm.
