More than 100 football crazy kids turned up at the SFA and East Renfrewshire Council’s football development sessions over the Easter break in 2008.

They were put through their paces by SFA coaches every day at Pro-Soccer in Giffnock.

A mini kickers session was held for three to four year olds and children’s football camps were available for youngsters between five and twelve.

On completion of the camps the children were awarded with a SFA certificate, and two free admission tickets to the football museum at Hampden Park.

The council’s mobile football pitch also attracted hundreds of youngsters at various locations throughout East Renfrewshire including Overlee Playing Fields and Kingston Playing Fields in Neilston.

Mini kickers sessions continue to run across East Renfrewshire.
