Rangers winger Tom Walsh has taken to Twitter to confirm he has signed a loan deal with St Mirren until January.

Saints boss Alex Rae said after Saturday's 3-2 win at Livingston in the Betfred Cup that he had an agreement in place for an 'offensive player'.

He said: "I'll probably have one in on Monday. The papaerwork hasn't been done but in principal we've agreed it.

"It's an offensive player so that gives us another string to our bow."

The 20-year-old winger tweeted news of the deal on Sunday morning, saying: "Happy to have signed for @saintmirrenfc on loan until January, looking forward to the next few months."

Walsh has made five league starts for Rangers and spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship side Dumbarton.

He started 12 times for Stevie Aitken's side, scoring one goal and was used on the left and right wing for Sons.
