Arthurlie’s season came to a close on Saturday when a 4-2 defeat on penalties after a 3-3 draw saw them exit the Evening Times Cup Winners Cup away to Cumnock.
Arthurlie started the better of the teams and on eight minutes John Johnston saw his over hit cross crash off the bar with Cumnock keeper Graham Potter helpless.
As a traditionalist it’s always a great feeling for me to see Arthurlie start a game at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.
