St Mirren boss Oran Kearney can’t underestimate the momentum that his side have going into tomorrow’s Premiership play-off final first leg.
Saints, unbeaten in their last six games, travel to Tannadice as they face Dundee United with the aim of retaining their Premiership status.And the Northern Irishman says there’s no special plan ahead of the second leg at home on Sunday afternoon.
He said: “It is really important. For us, if it was to go the way it did on Saturday it was important that we go into the play-offs in the best possible shape. That is what we have achieved and that's what we have done. The stats behind the last couple of months speak for themselves and we want to go and hit those same levels.

"It can and it can't. You have to be careful in how you approach both games and we can't just say we'll do this for the away leg and that for the home leg. We wouldn't be going down any particular route. At the end of the 90 minutes on Thursday it will be only half-time in the tie.”
Kearney refused to commit that the Buddies were favourites going into the two legged affair with Robbie Neilson’s men.
He continued: "We don't have that tag - I wouldn't say that tag is with us at this point in time. You can put us under as much pressure as you want by saying we are the Premiership side, but it has also been well-documented the lengths that Dundee United have gone to this season, the amount of money that has been spent.
"I am sure if you are sitting at their press conference there is a huge amount of pressure and expectation on them as well. For me, it is about making sure we do what we have done for the last couple of months and turn up and win football matches. I think all that other periphery stuff looks after itself but for us it is about us going on to recreate our recent form.”
Elsewhere, Kearney revealed that striker Simeon Jackson is a doubt, but hopes to have defender Gary MacKenzie available after he missed the weekend victory against Dundee.
He added: "Gary has been able to train but I'm not sure if Simeon will make as he still feels a little bit tight.”
