Barrhead’s Gary Rae is set to make his return to the ring in the next month after renewing his boxing license.
Rae was last in action on October 6 at Paisley’s Lagoon Centre where he lost the Celtic Bantamweight title on points to Motherwell fighter Scott Allan.
That was Rae’s first ever loss with the 32-year-old describing the one-sided defeat as ‘heartbreaking’.
‘Razor’ Rae decided to take an extended break from the sport as he settled in his new home over the Christmas period.

However, that time away from the ring has rejuvenated the Barrhead man and given him that extra motivation to get back challenging for titles as he revealed he’s been back in the gym recently with a view to getting back in the ring as soon as possible.
Rae will return to action on April 6 at the Lagoon Centre.
