Barrhead bowling club welcomed members and invited guests at the weekend as they hosted the Jock Shaw Memorial Cup.
Jock Shaw was a club legend and a number of the invited guests were close friends of the former member.
With proceedings overseen by Vice President David Coubrough, there were two full rinks and two trips with four games of five ends each in a round-robin format with the team with the highest score overall taking the cup.
Despite downpours interrupting the games for a short time, the members carried on and managed to get back out.
Shuggie Moore, Ross Cameron and Alex Sweeney were the eventual winners as John Shaw, Jock’s grandson, presented them with the trophy.
