Arthurlie Manager Billy Ogilvie hopes that his side will soon be able to get points on the board to show for their recent spirited performances.
The Lie lost 3-2 to Kilbirnie Ladeside on Saturday, coming back from 3-0 down to set up a grandstand finish.
The result followed Wednesday night’s goalless draw with Cumnock at Dunterlie Park, and Ogilvie stressed how difficult it is to get a clean sheet in the Super Premier Division.
He said: “That’s our second clean sheet in a row at home and I’ve told them how difficult it is to get a clean sheet in this league. The more clean sheets you get then you’re going to start climbing the table.
“There was a real sense of disappointment that we only got a point. In injury time we hit the foot of the post and the ‘keeper made a great save.
“On Saturday we showed good character to come back. The boys didn’t give up. Kilbirnie were hanging on at the end.
“The disappointing thing is the goals we lost. We came back well and went up a gear after the third was conceded. It was spirited but we were disappointed to come away with nothing.
“It’s been two spirited performances and, hopefully, we’ll soon have points to show for them. There is positives there with the goals and clean sheets. We’re on the right track.”
