Bad news, everyone. The Peter Greenwood Show didn’t win anything at the 2018 BAFTA Games Awards.

Admittedly, we weren’t nominated for anything but that does little to take the sting out of ‘losing.’

Although, do you know what I – and, by extension, you – have won? A trip to the Sun.

Not the newspaper (who’d want to go there?) and it may not sound very appealing, being that it’s literally the hottest thing in our galaxy (George Clooney finishing a close second, apparently), but hear me out.

Some of you may remember that a long, long time ago, there was a story about a woman going to court for the rights to buy a piece of the Sun.

Hopping online immediately, I wanted a piece of that action but had to settle for a piece of land on the Moon instead.

I am to this day, as far as I know, the only radio host to buy a piece of land on the Moon in the name of the show.

Tick-tock, Guinness World Records...I’m waiting!

Fast forward three shows and two years later and I was doing some research when a story popped up about NASA sending a probe to the Sun.

I like messing with NASA because my secret hope is that I’ll annoy them so much they’ll eventually say ‘fine’ and send me into space.

On the probe will be a memory card filled with names, so I signed up in the name of the Peter Greenwood Show, live on air.

Thanks for the free trip, NASA. If you’d just send me into space, we wouldn’t have to do this dance.
