STAFF at the Uplawmoor Hotel have been highly commended at a national hospitality competition.
The venue was a runner-up in the Best Country Pub of the Year category at the Scottish Bar and Pub 2017 Awards.
Beating hundreds of venues across the country to get to the final, the hotel came away with a certificate highlighting their success in the hospitality industry.
They were up against four other finalists but missed out on the top spot to The Old Mill Inn, in Pitlochry.
Emma and Stuart Peacock, owners of the Uplawmoor Hotel, said: “We are delighted and honoured to receive this award and would like to thank all our loyal staff and customers for their support.
“Not many of the other categories received a highly commended certificate so we are happy to come away with this great achievement.
“As we’ve run the hotel for 25 years our regulars know that they can rely on us for top quality service.
“I think what makes us stand out is that we are family run and very friendly.
“The Uplawmoor Hotel is known for having a comfortable environment and the food is of a high standard.
“We welcome anyone who fancies a cosy sit down and dinner with good service.”
