A NEILSTON community council spearheaded Big Tidy up saw dozens of residents from the village and Barrhead don their gloves to clean up Neilston’s act.
Bulbs were planted and gardens were created in the centre of town as young and old alike got down to work.
The scheme is part of an ongoing effort by Neilston Community Council to carry out several projects of improvement in Neilston, including improvements to parklands, the main street, and the general ambience of the historical village.
The community council is working in partnership with the Neilston Development Trust on the Big Neilston Tidy-up.
Neilston residents were last month asked to vote on projects for the town which would inform a plan of action by the community council to see up to 11 projects carried out.
These included the creation of new flowerbeds in the square, a wildflower meadow in Kingston Playing Fields, and the introduction of more bins.
