BUS users are up in arms over claims that a bus operator has been exaggerating the length of journeys in order to rake in extra money. The claims have been made against McGills buses by pensioners, concerned that that it could put their free bus travel at risk.
Bosses at the company say they do not condone the practice and are looking into the claims.
FIRE-RAISERS torched a landscaping business causing �9,000 worth of damage in a weekend attack. The balze at Albar Landsacpes is the tenth incident of fire-raising in Barrhead over the last seven weeks.
Fire chiefs have slammed the incident, branding the firebugs "mindless" and a drain on resources.
A THREE-YEAR-OLD cerebral palsy sufferer has been gifted a brand new bike thanks to the efforts of a brand new bike workshop. The Barrhead Centre is dubbed the first of it's kind in Britain - as it is staffed entirely by special needs workers.
The volunteers worked overtime to make sure that delighted youngster Layla got her bike in time to enjoy last week's sunshine.
