ROADS in and around Motherwell’s town centre will be closed all day today (May 14) for a cycling event.
The cyclists will compete over the circuit from the start/finish line on Hamilton Road, around High Road, Farm Street, Ladywell Road and Douglas Street.
As a result, these roads will be closed from 7am until midnight to allow the race circuit to be set up and then cleared.

During these hours, there will be no vehicular access to driveways within the circuit and the local council is asking residents to consider parking in adjacent roads. However, there will be no parking restrictions in place on surrounding roads.
As the circuit surrounds Orchard Medical Centre, there will be no access for vehicles to the centre from noon.
