Glasgow band Belle and Sebastian have had a pretty good run this year as their growing success has seen them tour across North America over the summer.
However, it seems they’ve been so delirious with their travels - that they accidentally left their drummer behind in a Walmart store at night - in his pyjamas.
It was no laughing matter at the time for the group, though, as the team feared they would have to postpone the gig they were on their way to almost 500 miles away in Minneapolis.
Frontman Stuart Murdoch, from Clarkston, was the one to break the news on Twitter to his 20,000 followers.
The 48-year-old said: “S**t, we left Richard in North Dakota. Anyone want to be a hero and get him to St Paul, Minnesota somehow. The gig hangs in the balance..”
After leaving a trail of panic, almost an hour later, Stuart updated his fans.
He said: “We’re getting him in a car to Bismarck, a flight to Minneapolis. we should be ok for tonight.”
Shortly after, he thanked Twitterverse for their help, adding :”We have Richard on a plane now, so everything is ok. He’s in his pyjamas, sitting with a mimosa.”
He then joked that a new sign has now appeared on the band’s tour bus, reading: “Place this in driver seat when leaving the bus at night.
“SOMEONE IS OFF THE BUS.”
All is well now as the singer posted an image of all members, captioning it: “One big happy bus!”
