We all love a bit of the old Scottish banter, and there’s no better way to express that love than by taking to the Internet.

This month, Instagrammers have been taking to the social media site to do just that, proving we Scots have some sense of humour.

So, kick back, relax, and have a right good chuckle with eleven of the best social media posts from the past couple of weeks that encapsulate just why we Scots - and our banter - are the best thing around:

1. It’s taken centuries for us to carefully craft the language of love

2. We just can’t seem to get over the result of a certain country’s presidential election

Here we have another sad story of a domestic trolley being abandoned by the humans who were trusted to look after them. Left to go hungry and cold in the wild when they havent been brought up in the wild. Spotted by @shiv_smith_designs this poor defenseless trolley was tied up and left. We see this so much at this time of year after chrustmas is over and they start getting larger and difficult to manage and the kids get board, the poor trolley become victims of abandonment. Please remember if you ever think of getting a trolley that they are for life NOT just for christmas. Thankfully this trolley was rescued and is in a shelter for re-homing #wildtrolley #wildtrolleys #wild #domestictrolley #abandoned #lost #lonely #dontabandontrolleys #trolleysneedlovetoo #wildlife #scotland #scottishbanter #funny #scottishwildlife #notjustforchristmas #heartlesslyabandoned #callthespca #ithinkthisisfunny
