BARRHEAD wrestling fans are being offered the chance to win a 10-minute phone chat with legendary hero Hulk Hogan. The hosts of Barrhead community radio Pulse 98.4FM's One Wrestling show are getting to grips with legends from the sport as part of a 24-hour radio charity challenge.

And their broadcasting marathon will feature special appearances from Still Game star Greg Hemphill as well as US ring legend Hogan and his arch enemy the Ultimate Warrior.

Their knock-out show will start on Saturday, April 21, at 8am and the team will not leave the airwaves until 8am the following day.

In that time they will be holding a smash and grab prize draw with a host of exciting prizes for fans - including a top prize of a phone chat with Hogan.

Other prizes for the draw, which will take place during the course of the live show, include tickets to a WWE show in November and a host of exclusive signed goodies.

Money raised goes to Pulse Radio and to Simpson's Memory Box Appeal which supports people who have suffered a miscarriage or had a stillborn baby.

The team who will be taking on the challenge includes Sky TV's Insane Wrestling Championship star Chris Renfrew, retired IWC fighter Andrew Watson who used to wrestle under the name Red Lightning, trainee grappler JD Bravo, comedian and IWC commentator Billy Kirkwood and the show's main host Chris Duke, a ringside announcer for the wrestling championship.

However, wrestler-turned-DJ Chris Renfrew is well up for the challenge.

Chris, 26, from Glasgow said: "I suppose it is going to be a test of endurance as much as anything. None of us on the team have ever attempted anything remotely like it so we don't really know what to expect.

"We're just going to grit our teeth and get on with it, but it really should be good fun.

"It's going to be predominantly chat about wrestling, though we're cutting to the news every hour and the travel and things like that.

"We'll be looking to put our own spin on it though.

"We're going to be breaking new ground too - we're the first programme to ever have Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior on the same show."
