MOURNERS from all walks of life gathered to pay tribute to top Scottish lawyer Paul McBride who was laid to rest in Barrhead this week. Hundreds of people arrived at a requiem mass at St Aloysious Church in Garnethill, Glasgow to mark their respect for the high profile QC who died of natural causes in Pakistan.
He was then buried at a private ceremony at St Convals Cemetery in Barrhead.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon, a close friend of Mr McBride, was among the pall bearers at the funeral.
Other high profile attendants included First Minister Alex Salmond, Tommy Sheridan, George Galloway and several members of Celtic football club who Mr McBride both supported and represented legally Also at the church were legal colleagues Donald Findlay and Aamer Anwar, who was attending a wedding in Pakistan with Mr McBride when he died.
