Police are treating a hit and run in Barrhead on Saturday as attempted murder.
Four people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries, after they were hit by a vehicle in the town's Crossmill Avenue at around 6.15pm.
Three men aged 29, 39 and 48 were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital along with a 41-year-old woman. It's understood the 39-year-old is still in hospital with serious injuries while the others have been released.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Inquiries are ongoing. We are making efforts to trace the driver of the vehicle.” Anyone who may have witnessed the events are asked to contact Pollok CID on 101.
