Taking place in the car park of Balgray Reservoir and hosted by the Dams to Darnley Country Park rangers, youngsters got their first taste of life behind the bow.
Overseen by experts from Lapwing Lodge, Barrhead kids got to grips with the professional equipment, learning how to draw, aim and safely fire a bow and arrow at professional targets.
Our photographer was on hand as this band of merry kids got to grips with one of the oldest forms of sport in the world.
