Members of Neilston SlimmingWorld group are taking part in a six-week sponsored weightloss challenge with all funds raised going to Brightest Star and the Clutha Appeal.

The challenge was launched last Wednesday, February 26, at the group’s open night in St Thomas’Church Hall on Neilston Main Street and was attended by local councillor Charlie Gilbert.

The group invited members of the local community to come along and find out about the charity appeal, sample some healthy SlimmingWorld food and take part in a charity raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.

Neilston SlimmingWorld consultant Paul Nairn said:“The generosity of the members in the group never ceases to amaze me. The people here are so kind-hearted and have really thrown their support behind the six week challenge. It has really given members extra motivation to lose even more weight during the next six weeks, knowing that all the money raised is going to two such fantastic causes. I can’t thank the members enough and I really think it will be great for them and the community.” Neilston SlimmingWorld group is held every Wednesday night at 7.30pm in St Thomas Church Hall on Neilston Main Street.
