Variety will be the spice of life this Saturday as East Renfrewshire offers help to heroes.

Eastwood Park Theatre will host a Armed Forces Day Concerts this Saturday, 19 May.

Last year's event raised over �2,100 for Combat Stress and organisers are hoping to raise more for this year's chosen charity Glasgow's Helping Heroes The matinee performance is at 2pm and the evening performance is at 7pm.

All of the performers are giving their talents free of charge to help support the country's Armed Forces.

The MC, David Dewhurst, known as Dave D will introduce performances including saxophonist Richard Scholfield, trumpeter Nicholas Scholfield ; vocalists Frank Duffy and Jemma Stevenson ; magic performances, and a stirring piping performance among the variety selection.

The Armed Forces concert is supported by the Royal British Legion - Newton Mearns Branch.

Organisers are promising a show packed with variety, music, laughs and fun.
