Police are appealing for the help of the public in tracing a man who was seen acting suspiciously near a hospital.

Around 1.25pm on Monday April 2, two women were walking along Grahamstone Road, near to Dykebar Hospital when a yellow pick-up style truck passed them on the road and then pulled over close to an electricity pylon.

A man got out of the truck and stood at the side of the road and acted in a way the two women aged 22 and 25 thought was suspicious.

The man did not approach the women or try to engage them in conversation.

They carried on walking to Dykebar Hospital and then contacted police.

The man is described a white, around 5ft 11ins tall with a medium build and short dark hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a white T shirt with a yellow high visability vest on top, dark patterned combat trousers and dark work style boots.

Detective Constable Michelle McLennan said: "I am appealing to anyone who was on Grahamstone Road, near to Dykebar Hospital around the time of the incident on Monday 2 April to contact me, if they saw a yellow pick-up truck in the area or noticed a man matching the description above.

"I would also ask anyone who has any information which can help identify this man to contact Pollok CID on 0141 532 5600. Alternatively you can contact CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 if you would like to remain anonymous."
