AN exhibition which turns the spotlight on Renfrewshire’s historic thread industry is now weaving its magic in Neilston.

Thousands of people have already enjoyed A Family of Threads, which strings together the story of thread-making in the area and explains how this essential commodity came to be.

The exhibition is usually on display at the Paisley Thread Mill Museum but has been on tour for the past nine months.

It will remain at Neilston Library for the rest of March.

Stephen Glancy, chairman of Paisley Thread Mill Museum, said: “The tour has been really popular and the feedback has been very positive.”
