GENEROUS staff at a Neilston haulage firm held a monster truck adventure to raise money for two charities in 2007.

J&M Murdoch Haulage organised a vintage truck run from Neilston to Prague in August that year and managed to raise £9,490.66 which they split between Macmillan Cancer Charity and the British Heart Foundation.

A spokesman for the haulage firm said at the time: “We travelled down to Rothesay and our trucks were shipped to Prague where we began our tour of the country.

“It was a fantastic experience, we were fortunate the weather stayed good.

“We used some of our business contacts who graciously supplied the vintage trucks and it was a privilege to drive them.

“All of the staff worked hard to make this possible and we would like to thank everyone who donated money.”
