LITTLE bookworms and their parents can head along to interactive storytelling sessions.

Bookbug is a national programme that encourages adults to share and enjoy reading with their children.

Families can join in the fun at sessions in Barrhead and Neilston.

Barrhead Foundry hosts Bookbug gatherings for kids aged up to four years at 10am on Saturdays and 11.10am on Sundays.

There is also a baby session for those aged up to 18 months at 10.30am on Wednesdays and a toddler session for tots aged between 18 months and four years at 10.30am on Fridays.

Neilston Library also runs toddler sessions at 10.15am on Tuesdays, as well as a baby session at 11.30am.

Those aged up to four can go along at 10.30am on Saturdays.

Bookbug sessions encourage children to mix with other youngsters, play games and enjoy stories and nursery rhymes in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
