EAST Renfrewshire youngsters will be spoilt for choice when looking for something to do this summer.

A range of activities have been organised to keep the region’s children amused during the school holidays by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure (ERCL).

Everything from football, swimming, athletics and basketball to arts and crafts, drama, reading and the ever-popular Superhero Academy will be on offer.

Several of the organised events will be based at venues in Barrhead and Neilston, including the Foundry, St Luke’s High, Carlibar Primary, Neilston Leisure Centre, Neilston Library and Neilston Primary.

Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock will also stage theatre camps.

Anthony McReavy, ERCL chief executive, said: “There’s no chance of youngsters feeling bored during the school summer holidays as we’ve got an amazing array of activities for them to take part in.

“We aim to give young people a summer of fun and sporting activity that will not only keep them fit and healthy, but also stretch their imaginations and teach them new arts and craft skills.”
