The Brig O’Lea side were facing league rivals Glasgow Perthsire when a mass brawl broke out just four minutes from time.
The match referee called an end to the match, saying he couldn’t guarantee the safety of spectators.
Trouble flared after visiting player Ryan Hipson was red-carded for his conduct, before becoming involved in a heated exchange with the Neilston dug-out.
Glasgow Pertshire coach Billy Adams, Neilston assistant manager David Wilson and another Shire player were sent off in the ensuing rammy when yet another fight broke out in the stands involving those who had just been sent off.
The ref’ then called time on the match and abandoned it on the spot.
Police confirmed that no allegations of assault had been received by local officers.
Neilston have since said that they expect to be awarded the match, and no date has been set for a possible replay of the fixture.
