As manager Teresa O’Hara explained, the CAB will occupy the former payday loan company building right next door thanks to a funding package that will pay for the necessary construction work involved in turning two office units into one.
Teresa said: “We attained capital funding to do it. It’s a council property that we’ll be paying a rent on but obviously in order to knock through the wall and do this place up a bit we had to get capital funding.
"So we have applied through Citizens Advice Scotland and secured £120,000. It means we keep our high street presence and will be better placed to deal with demand for our services.”
