The event saw little book lovers enjoy stories, songs and rhymes.
And there were three special guests – babies who all celebrated their first Christmas in 2013.
Robyn Rooney, Ibrahim Farid and Maya Karthick all joined in the fun.
Convener for community services and community safety, Councillor Mary Montague, said: “I was delighted to go along to this very special Bookbug session – it was wonderful to see the children enjoying the stories and the songs.
“It is so important to introduce babies to books – the earlier they discover the joy of books and reading, the better.
“It will be a delight that will remain with them forever. East Renfrewshire’s libraries provide a wonderful service for children and our excellent Bookbug sessions are part of that.” Bookbug sessions are for very young children and take place in every library in East Renfrewshire. They are part of the Scottish Book Trust’s Early Years programme, which encourages parents and children to read together from birth.
