A PUB worker accused of murdering a 45-year-old man in a pub will appear at the High Court in Glasgow this week.
John McCarron is alleged to have fatally stabbed William Auld at the Cavendish Bar on January 3.
It is thought both men had been drinking in the pub on the day of the alleged murder.
McCarron, 42, will appear in court for a preliminary hearing charged with murdering Mr Auld and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
McCarron, of Kirktonfield Crescent, Neilston, first appeared at court in relation to the charges on January 5 and his last appearance was on April 28.
Cops have established that at the time of the alleged murder approximately 60 customers were in the pub along with five bar staff.
As a result of the incident the premises were secured as a crime scene and when the police carried out a search they allegedly found 25 weapons within the pub.
After Mr Auld's death the Cavendish Bar in Nitshill was the first pub in Glasgow to have its licence suspended for a year under new legislation, by Glasgow City Council.
At the time, chief of the licensing board Councillor Stephen Dorman said: "The licence holder was unable to give any kind of reassurance that the premises would be run differently in future.
"A fatality on licensed premises is a cause for great concern and in the absence of the
reassurance we were looking for, we had to act to uphold public safety.
"Licensees must adhere with the policies of the Board and if they do not, appropriate action will be taken."
It is believed that William Auld is a relative of Celtic FC's Lisbon Lion, Bertie Auld.
