A BARRHEAD man has died after he drowned in Majorca.
The 69-year-old, named as Gordon Hamilton, drowned in front of his wife while swimming off a popular beach on the Spanish island.

Reports say he was pulled from the water by an ambulance crew and local police but they were unable to revive him.
As the Barrhead News went to press it was unconfirmed whether Mr Hamilton and his wife were living in the Spanish resort or on holiday.
