A GROUP of young anti bullying campaigners from Springhill Primary were guests of honour at the Scottish Parliament a decade ago.
The P7 Peer Mediators had been nominated for a Princess Diana Award for running a peer mediator service, for which they applied and were interviewed for.
They then trained for their roles, giving up playtimes to help cut out bullying in the playground, and their work was recognised by Barrhead’s MSP at the time.
Ken Macintosh MSP met the youngsters, who were accompanied by principal teacher Mrs Black and their parents, and gave them a guided tour.
