A VOLUNTARY group is set to host a night of championship wrestling in Barrhead.

The event will take place at The Foundry on Sunday, June 17, and is being organised by the Include Me 2 Club, in conjunction with Giffnock-based Anipals.

Both groups are in line for a cash boost from the event, which also involves local promoters PBW Academy and Premier British Wrestling.

They are promising an action-packed night, full of thrills and fun for all the family.

Among those lined up for the six-fight bill is River City actor and comedian Grado, with a number of local wrestlers getting ready to rumble.

The Include Me 2 Club, which is based in Barrhead, aims to change the face of social care in East Renfrewshire by taking a community asset-based approach to enhance the lives of its members.

It is open to anyone with additional support needs, including a learning disability, physical disability, mental health disability, autism or Aspergers.

Membership to the organisation is free, recurring on an annual basis.
