MORE than 100 lucky children were choc-a-bloc with treats after taking part in the second annual Barrhead Easter Egg Hunt.

Organised by the All About Barrhead group, the free event gave kids a chance to seek out one of the many eggs hidden around the town.

Clues and pictures appeared on social media throughout the day, with parents also getting involved.

Various local businesses, including Almond Blossom Florist, Tesco, F&M Hairdressing, Alma’s Deli, Carpets & Flooring, Catherine Rose Cupcakes, Bickets and Country Feeds Pet Supplies, supported the event.

Eggs were hidden at various locations, with locals racing around town in an attempt to be the first to get to each chocolate hiding place.

There were other prizes up for grabs too, with organisers giving away five pairs of tickets to this year’s Barrhead Rainbow Run, which will take place on Saturday, June 16.

All About Barrhead is a Business Improvement District (BID) initiative which aims to deliver a variety of services that will improve the local economy.
