A BARRHEAD youngster had only one wish when she met Santa – her two front teeth.

Six-year-old Belle McCawley was one of 12 children with two front teeth missing who were invited to Cardwell Garden Centre, in Gourock, as part of a unique meet and greet with Father Christmas, inspired by the famous song.

Paul Carmichael, retail general manager at Cardwell Garden Centre, said: “We thought it would be fun for the youngsters to be able to tell Santa they wanted their missing two front teeth back for Christmas.

“We had an amazing response when we asked for people to send us photos of their kids with missing front teeth and we had more than 130 pictures sent into us.

“Santa’s elves in his dentistry workshop are certainly going to be busy in the run-up to Christmas making all those teeth if every youngster is to get their wish.”

The venue’s grotto is now open every weekend until Christmas Eve and on weekdays from Monday, November 27.

The Gourock garden centre has also organised a Breakfast With Santa event, which includes a breakfast meal, a story from Father Christmas and a carnival ride.

Little ones will also receive a personally-labelled gift from Santa himself.

These events will take place between 10am and 11am every Saturday and Sunday from this Saturday, November 25 until Christmas and on weekdays running up to Thursday, December 21.
