A MAN was attacked as he waited for a bus in Barrhead.
The 30-year-old victim was approached by a trio of men close to a bus stop on Cross Arthurlie Street early on Sunday morning.
One of the men exchanged words with the victim before punching him in the face.
Sergeant Michael Morganthaler, of Giffnock Police Station, said: “We are currently investigating a report of an assault at around 8am on Sunday near to a bus stop on Cross Arthurlie Street.
“A 30-year-old male was approached by another male suspect. The suspect started engaging the victim in conversation. Shortly after the suspect punched the victim in the face.
“There were two other males present with the suspect. One is described as wearing a red jumper and slim. The other two, including the suspect, are described as heavier and one of the other males had a beard.
“All are thought to be in their 20s.”
Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
