Nominations are now open for the various categories in the ERCL Coaching, Officiating and Volunteering Awards.
The annual ceremony, organised by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure (ERCL), showcases the region’s top coaches, club officials, referees and volunteers.
Last year Barrhead judo coach, Tommy Gillan, from the Sporting Judo Club, won the Community Coach of the Year Award.
Anthony McReavy, chief executive of ERCL, said: “We want to honour the unsung heroes of sport because without their hard work and dedication there wouldn’t be anything like the same level of sporting activities for people to enjoy.
“We want to hear about the people who deserve an award, so we can give them recognition for their efforts.
“I’d urge everyone who takes part in sport to nominate someone who has helped them, or has made sure there is a team there for them to play in.”

The closing date for votes is Thursday, August 31.
