ST MARK’S Primary pupils enjoyed an end-of-term Mass and prizegiving ceremony in 2002.

Prizes were handed out in various categories, including best attendance, sporting and academic achievement and good citizenship.

Primary seven pupils were given bibles to guide them through the next stage of their lives at secondary school.

Earlier that year, headteacher Patricia Kennedy took two children, Gordon Connelly and Erin Sullivan, for a whirlwind trip around London after winning a national curriculum award.

Mrs Kennedy said: “It was a great day and we all had a really good time.

“We went to the Tate Modern to be presented with our prize by the Duke of Gloucester before going up in the London Eye.”
