THIEVES tried to break into a Barrhead community hub twice in the space of four hours.
Footage from CCTV cameras shows two men attempting to force their way into the Columba Club, in Darnley Road, on Saturday night.
After being unsuccessful in their first attempt, the brazen pair then returned to the scene in the early hours of Sunday morning but were again unable to force entry.
Inspector John McQuilter, who is based at Giffnock Police Station, said: “There was an attempted break-in at the Columba Club at 9.45pm on May 20.
“The alarm activated and two males were seen at the time. Nothing was taken but the alarm was activated again at 1.35am on May 21.
“The males were unsuccessful in their attempts but we would like to hear from anyone who was passing or in the area at the time.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the force's 101 non-emergency number.
Alternatively, details can be given in confidence by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
