HUNDREDS of youngsters from nursery schools across East Renfrewshire were causing a Commotion in the Ocean at Barrhead Sports Centre 15 years ago.
The little ones were able to invent music based on the book of the same name by Giles Anderae.
The fun event included a morning session with 600 children and an afternoon session involving a further 300, both of which were led by conductor Paul Rissman.
Commotion in the Ocean followed on from the 2001 nursery school musical extravaganza Rumble in the Jungle, which hit the headlines as the first attempt in Scotland to develop music in nursery schools on such a large scale.
Mr Rissman said: “This is mass music from the nurseries, with an emphasis on musical experimentation and development.”
