TWO stars of hit TV comedy Still Game will visit Barrhead tomorrow to promote the show’s new series.

Community radio station Pulse 98.4 is set to welcome Mark Cox, who plays tight-fisted Tam, and Jane McCarry, better known as Craiglang’s gossip girl Isa, for a special interview.

The actors are stopping by the station’s studio in St Luke’s High to discuss the newly-commissioned eighth series, which will air on BBC One next year.

Presenter Stuart James, 37, said he could hardly believe his luck when the show’s management staff accepted his request for a sit-down with members of the cast.

Having worked with Pulse for 18 months, Stuart believes the interview will represent the highlight of his broadcasting career so far.

He said: “We got in touch with their management team and that’s how it came about. It’s going to be myself chatting with them live on air.

“I’m looking forward to it because I’m a massive Still Game fan. These are my first big guests on the show.”

Mark and Jane will be on the airwaves from 1.30pm on Wednesday, March 22.

The duo will take part in an ‘Ask Tam and Isa’ feature, in which listeners can text in questions.

The listener who is adjudged to have asked the best question will be sent a signed Still Game DVD boxset.

Text 07538984984 to be in with a chance of winning.

To listen to the live show, go to www.pulseonair.co.uk or tune into 98.4 FM.

As this is a radio broadcast only, members of the public will not be able to meet the actors.
