A planning application has been submitted for the installation of a new 25-metre mast in East Renfrewshire.
The proposal is for a “ sharable lattice mast” within the same compound as an existing mast at Whitecraigs Rugby Club on Aurs Road in Newton Mearns.
The application, which has not yet been decided on by planners, has been submitted by Manchester based global wireless infrastructure provider Icon Tower Infrastructure.
The development will include a base station, two headframes, 12 antennas, four dishes, a two-metre high chainlink fence, one multiuser electrical meter cabinet and ancillary development.
According to those behind the application, the plans are required to “facilitate enhanced network coverage for mobile network operators.”
