TWO women were taken to hospital following a crash in Barrhead town centre.
At around 6pm on Monday, the emergency services were alerted to a collision involving vehicles on the town’s Main Street.
Police, ambulance crews and officers from the Scottish Fire and Rescue were all called to the scene.
It was established that two cars had collided, with another vehicle that was parked nearby also being damaged.
A police spokesman said: “The incident was reported as a two-vehicle road accident. We attended, along with the fire and ambulance services.
“Two women were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, as a precaution after experiencing neck and back pain but there were no serious injuries.”
